(from statistics kindly supplied by Laurence Bland and Neil Marsdin)

In 2000-2001 we finished 4th. from the bottom of the Nationwide Conference and so were the lowest club to stay up.  We got 45 points, 2 ahead of Kettering who are now playing in the Dr. Martens League.  However, the season did have its notable points and the following statistics MAY be worth recording.
In the Conference the following happened :
Games played 42
Home     won   8    drawn   5     lost   8     goals for   35   against   29   goal diff +6 points 29
Away      won   3    drawn   7     lost   11   goals for   29   against   37   goal diff  -8 points 16
Overall   won   11  drawn   12   lost   19   goals for   64   against   66   goal diff  -2 points 45
45 is our worst in the Conference, 29 being our worst home points.  19 defeats is our joint worst  (with 1998-1999), with 8 defeats being our worse home figure.
Conference Fair Play league :
A sign of some success -
Fouls conceded 364 (worst was Boston United with 739)
Yellow cards        52 (worst again Boston United - 98)
Red cards              4 (worst here was Rushden & Diamonds - 8)
With 1 point per foul,  2 per yellow card and 5 per red card
our final position was 3rd. with points per game being 14.39
(top was Leigh RMI with 13.32)
Shooting :
Shots on target    220 (Yeovil Town best on 275)
Shots off target    220 (Doncaster Rovers most 268)
Hit woodwork         27 (By far the Conference highest - Chester City 2nd. On 17)
Offsides :
154  (Joint 10th. with Stevenage Borough & Kettering Town. Rushden & Diamonds were caught offside most - 196 times).
Corners :
218  (11th.  - Yeovil Town highest - 282)
